I've had this machine for over 10 years, had no problem other than having to replace the bowl once, which is to be expected and people sayiing they don't work are totally wrong they just need to learn how to use them they need more water then what owners manual says they need to have enough water so rocks turn and go in circular motion i'm always happy with my results i think the problem is people aren't adding enough water every batch is differant just like every other vibratory you just have to learn your machine and

I cannot stand this vibe. I wanted to return, but was basically told I didn’t use it right. It is so loud, it tips over, it dries out, and it ruined more than one of my tumbles. For the sound alone, save your ears and stay away from this product.

A good tumbler at a good price and one fault

Halfway through my first batch. As delivered, this tumbler should not be left running unattended. The vibration is rotary, not linear. The direction of rotation tends to make the bowl turn counterclockwise. Bowl motion in that direction loosens the hold-down nut on the bowl lid. Thick vinyl washers or chair leg pads glued to the bottom of the bowl will engage raised knobs on the bumbler base to prevent rotation.

The kit includes 100/120 silicon carbide (rough grind), 700F silicon carbide (fine grind), Iolox 50 (pre-polish) and Raybrite TL(polish). This should work fine in soft stones, just watch them closely as a vibratory tumbler does work quicker than a rotary...

The bowl is plastic, so there is noise from the rocks hitting the plastic. We would recommend putting it in a garage.

If they were around 2" in size yes. Filler like Ceramic media would help.

It doen't have to be mounted.
