Description Thumler's Model B Rock Tumbler

The Model B by Thumler's Tumbler is one of our best-selling rotary rock tumblers. One of the reasons for this is the barrel design and capacity. The outer barrel is powder-coated metal, making this a sturdy choice for a 15lb rock capacity. The inner barrel consists of a drop-in heavy-duty rubber liner and rubber lid gasket. This makes for a quiet tumble and longer-lasting parts.

It worked great for about 2 years and now needs to be completely rebuilt,

After 2 years of running the bushing are shot, shafts are pitted and need replaced, motor and belt burned up last week. Needs a complete rebuild at over $200 worth of parts and many are not even in stock.

Great capacity & polishes perfectly, but does not shape agates well.

I've had a few tumblers in my day, but this one has been a love hate relationship. While it does a great job on all other steps and has a massive capacity, step 1 (course grit/shaping) never goes well (at least for agates). If it had a variable speed, this tumbler would get an A+. Until then, C+
