It comes with a 1 Year manufacturers warranty. This warranty covers all structural and electrical parts of Hi-Tech Diamond motorized equipment. The warranty does not include consumable products (e.g. Diamond Discs).

No, this goes in one direction with a variable speed option.

This means it won't support an aluminum or steel master/backing plate. The 1mm thick metal topping plates would be no problem if they were backed to a plastic backing plate.
