Description Malachite Rough

From Africa, treasured for ages because of its intense green color and interesting circular markings. Malachite is easy to work, hard to polish (polish on leather with Aluminum A powder of chrome Oxide). Sold by the pound.

Size ranges: 0.35 lb through 2 lb, varying thickness. Leave an order comment if you need a specific size.

Hmm...broccoli.

I purchased 5 lbs of this malachite. When I recieved it, it looked like it was decent. I haven't really cut much of it. This batch though was bad. Upon cutting with a this sintered blade, it wanted to crumble. I tried cutting thinker slabes (1/2" or thicker), the slabs have tons of pits and looked like broccoli or cauliflower when cut. I was not able to get many slabble pieces, most is tumbling fodder (expensive). I'm not blaming Kingsley North, I guess it was just luck of the draw.
