Is this a sealed for life bearing ? to replace the ones on the LU6 machine ?

If your LU6X bearing has a dome to the top, this would be a direct replacement. That is, not a flat top. This is a sealed bearing which is better than shielded. You can grease these but it helps if they are in a cast housing with a zerk fitting.
