The best for the money!

I have had my C-20 for over a year, and it keeps on going. Gasket is very thick, and made of a durable rubber, far stronger than that of Lorne's 12 pound barrel. It will also hold up better than Covington's offerings. After a year of hard use, there is no leakage, or any issues I've run across.

The motor has a longevity that puts it in a class of its own. It won't quit, it won't slow down, it won't strain. The RPM of that barrel has kept a constant pace, regardless of the weight I put in it.

Overall, I would rate this as a best buy, given its capacity and price. Its only competitor would be the 25 pound capacity Diamond Pacific 25RT, which has a far slower speed, which will reduce production considerably and also will add to the cost of each charge, in spite of its lower price, and plastic barrel as compared to Lortone's metal and genuine rubber components.

In this hobby, one must weigh the costs of performance, components, longevity, and economics of scale when shopping for a general-purpose tool to produce the end result. In this case, it would be the formation of tumble-grade products into something that may be of some use for the end consumer. Tumble-grade means a lower quality of material which must be made viable. The Lortone C-20 has the edge in a quicker turnout as opposed to Diamond Pacific's lower RPM, thus reducing its production capabilities considerably.

Even if someone is just starting out in this hobby, I would still recommend the C-20. Over time, results would be less disappointing as compared to the Lortone 3A. And, there would be a better chance of some monetary gain from the output. The Lortone C-20 is the best for anybody who has an interest in the tumbling hobby. It's not just for commercial operations.

The Lortone C-20 is for everybody. It's the jack of all trades, but not necessarily the master of everything. Just buy it. You won't be disappointed!
