I just ordered this and am using it for a filler for rock tumbling. Looks like I would add it in stages 2,3, and 4. Do I need to run it by itself for 24 hours before adding it to the 2nd stage of tumbling? Just the media and water?

You can run it just to break off the corners and rough edges. It is just a suggestion and not required.
