Hello, I am very interested in this blade, and interested to know why it cannot be used in a 1725rpm lapidary saw, and also is to be used only with water cooling? My limited understanding is that water is the least effective coolant, and that higher rpms = more friction = worse blade wear. I am wishing to cut harder rock (MOHS 7) using a lapidary slab saw, and would love to be able to use only water. Please help! I'm sure others would like this guidance as well. Thanks in advance.

This blade is designed to be used on a high speed tile saw which is why it's not meant to go at the standard lapidary saw speed. The tile saws also are more water cooled than oil cooled which is why it's meant to be used that way as well. If you're looking for a blade for your lapidary saw I would recommend either the MK 303 or MK 301 blades. They're made by the same manufacturer as this one, they're just meant to be used on lapidary saws. If you have any further questions please email sales@kingsleynorth.com and we will be more than happy to help.
