Do most vibratory tumblers use the same amount of grit for each step? and How about the time. I'm not sure if the instructions for this tumbler are reliable. I'm trying to receive the same results as the Lot-o tumbler. Please give any info on how I can perfect my rocks in this tumbler.
Have you tried aluminum oxide 500 grit instead of 600 silicon carbide? You might have better luck there. Grit amounts will be different between types and brands. We'd need more information on what is happening. What rocks you are trying to polish.
