Yes, except with the Ameritool they balance the backing plate.

These are metal bonded.

Unfortunately that's something that is not measured. It's nearly impossible to put a meantime before failure on things like this as it completely depends on the use. If you believe you're having an issue with a disc please email sales@kingsleynorth.com...
