I've got a good picture of the typical slab, but there doesn't seem to be a way to attach it. The rough, "rotten" part simply crumbles away under the saw and in many cases you can even break it by hand. In the tumbler, it turns into mush like dirty sand. I have gotten some really excellent material from Kingsley, and I understand they do not have the ability to look inside the stone, so I guess it's just the luck of the draw. Luckily for me, the fellow running the slab saw quit about halfway through and informed me he didn't believe I wanted to pay another $50 to finish, based on what he was seeing. Also it is quite expensive, so I really don't mind the wastage. However, for this batch at least, I wanted to post a caveat.
