The most effective way to remove grinding marks and pre-polish material. Diamond smoothing discs ensure rapid removal of scratches and high spots on cabochons yet can also smooth large, flat areas in channel inlay work. A high concentration of diamond is loaded into the disc to provide an extremely aggressive grinding rate, yet leave an exceptionally smooth surface finish. Will not crack or peel, all discs come with pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that will bond to most laps, flexible discs and polish heads. Must be used wet. Disc Only. Backing plate required.

You should keep the smoothing disc on the backing plate until it is used up. If you remove and reapply it a few times the adhesive will most likely not hold and you may end up with folds or issues with the disc itself.
