16" Slab Saw Complete - Covington Engineering - 1172CS

The Covington Engineering 16" slab saw are great choice for the hobbyist and commercial cutter alike. They are fully manufactured and assembled in Idaho. The 1172CS model is one of the most popular choices in the 1100 series. Having a 16 inch diameter blade and a sturdy bookend style vise makes cutting slabs a breeze. The vise has wood faced jaws that will not damage your rough rock. The cross feed allows the vise to be moved up to 4 inches. Lubri-Kool is recommended as a cutting coolant. With a 16" blade, 2.25 gallons of oil should be used, this will cover 1/4 inch of the blade in oil.
